What is Full Membership?

Full Membership is a way for companies to convey confidence to consumers. This is because, by fully adhering to the Arbitration Center, the company accepts its intervention in any consumer dispute that may arise.

After receiving a complaint from a consumer and having it analyzed by a lawyer from the Center, contact will be made with the other party, with a view to establishing an agreement between them. If this measure is unsuccessful, the case will be referred to conciliation and arbitration.

What are the advantages of Full Membership for the Company?
✔ Transfer of conflict management The company no longer needs to worry about conflict management, guaranteeing a response to all questions/complaints made by customers, guaranteed by CIMARA.

In this sense, it contributes to reducing the tendency towards arrogance and abuse – the relationship with customers becomes more transparent and democratic.
✔ Guarantee of an impartial response to questions/complaints made by customers The fact that the complaint is decided by an independent, impartial and neutral entity guarantees greater objectivity in resolving the case.
✔ Speed ​​in resolving processes Complaint processes must be resolved within a period of less than 90 days, with the exception of disputes that, due to their particular complexity, may be derogated for a maximum period of two times, for equal periods, in accordance with paragraphs 5 and 6 of article 10 of the RAL Law
✔ It is an indicator of quality Joining CIMARA is a demonstration that the company is more attentive to the quality of its goods and services, contributing to consumer satisfaction, as it guarantees a prompt, efficient and technical response to questions made by its customers. In this sense, it contributes to increasing consumer satisfaction and trust in the company
✔ Differentiation from the competition The Company is identified as a member of the Arbitration Center, on the website and through a sign placed visibly in the establishment
✔ Sign of Modernity European legislation has been encouraging the use of alternative dispute resolution, especially in the consumer area, so the company's adherence to these means translates into following this trend.

In essential public services there is already a necessary arbitration mechanism that is expected to be progressively extended to other areas of consumption. By joining now, the company shows that it is prepared for the future.

MEMBERSHIP PROCESS

 

The membership process is simple, voluntary and free.

After formalizing membership, the company must download the sign published on this page, being obliged to place it in a visible location, within the establishment, allowing consumers to identify the company as having an agreement with the Arbitration Center.

Companies that complete Full Membership will be included in the list of companies adhering to the Arbitration Center, published publicly through the most appropriate means.

Membership is revocable at any time.

To join, simply download the respective form, which must be printed, filled out, signed and stamped. Once completed, you must scan and forward the Membership Form to the email: juridico@ocimara.pt
